What You Will Learn
• How to prepare and handle the clay correctly
• How to form individual flower petals by hand
• How to shape and manipulate the petals to create movement
• How to build and assemble your flower
• How to create texture and detail in the clay
• How to decorate the surface using colour and your own individual style
Class Details
• Maximum 4 students for focused, personalised attention.
• All materials provided, including clay, high-quality underglazes and tools.
• You will receive notes about the clay and techniques covered in class to take home for future reference.
• Work in a comfortable, creative environment with gas-lift chairs and plenty of natural light.
• Tea, coffee and biscuits are available during breaks. No food or hot drinks are permitted while working with clay.
• Enjoy a cosy outdoor space for breaks.
• Your two finished ceramic flowers will be clear glazed and fired by Carolyne and ready for collection approximately 2–3 weeks after the class, depending on kiln scheduling.
